In this entry, I’d like to stress about a behavior that is
quite common in our society – condemning others. According to the freedictionary.com
(an online dictionary), condemning means to
pronounce judgment against, or
sentence for example ‘condemned the felons to prison’. In my own words, or
my simple explanation is, to provide evidence or proves and to suggest, that a
particular person or group of people has done ‘wrong doings’ and some sort of
action should be taken upon him/her or them.
Let me detail an example here.
Let say, you and your spouse
have gone through a hard life together for quite some times, or let just put a
number such as 10 years. That is probably due to financial problems that both
of you are facing. Now, let say your brothers and sisters happened to be quite
wealthy, or they are living the BEST of life could offer – money is never a
problem. So, their lifestyle and your lifestyle, of course would be like both
ends of a rope.
At one time, probably, you and your spouse had gone into a
quarrel which related to the financial problems; and to be exact, let say
because your spouse has been in a bad debt situation and has been haunted by
the money collectors for ages. Being aware of your situation, your brothers and
sisters, even probably your aunts and uncles, were not happy for you. Out of concern of your well-being, they
decided to help you. At one fine day, they got together and called you for a
family meeting or ‘talk’. In the
meeting, they CONDEMNED your spouse for the hard life that you had gone through
all these while and SUGGEST that you should file a divorce or asked for a
divorce.
Ok… Condemning others, is a behavior that is quite common in
our society. The example that I have given here, is an act of condemning others
for ‘a good reason’. Well, normally I heard people condemned other people ,
always for a good purpose or for the person (they want to help) own good.
“Look, I don’t mean to interfere with your life, but I think,
I should tell you that ‘this person’ or ‘that person’ has taken an advantage of
you and you are the one who are suffering, and I don’t like to see it’s
happening to you… “
“Don’t take this wrongly, we are telling you all these, for
your own good…”
It’s really interesting because, many who are so concern for
someone they ‘love’, with an intention of helping him/her, would condemn the
others and suggest the ‘right’ thing for him/her to do or act, which is AGAINST the
others.
This has been more interesting, when what many would suggest,
however will never be of their responsibility. Should the person they are ‘helping’
act as suggested, it would not affect them at all. The only person who will
definitely responsible for the suggested ‘action’ is the person
himself/ herself. Due to ‘good reasons’, they are FREE from anything that
happens as a consequences (I bet). This has been really interesting! Really, really interesting!
Let me stress here that ANY ACT OF CONDEMNING OTHERS FOR ‘GOOD
REASONS’ will forever be an act of CONDEMNING! And to me, once you condemn
other people… there is NEVER for a good reason! NEVER!
My advice : Don’t CONDEMN others! You never know if that
person you condemned is actually A TEST to see if you are a good person or the
opposite!
Allahualam bissawab. God bless you…

ReplyDeleteI like this quote >> Don’t CONDEMN others! You never know if that person you condemned is actually A TEST to see if you are a good person or the opposite!
Whatever we do, we should be Careful anytime, anywhere :) and absolutely we should be able to handle all of things that come to our life :)
be careful anytime, anywhere is an approach to curb ourselves from doing something of no benefit neither to ourselves nor others... it is also what I call it 'thinking'... :D
Deletethanks Rahma for your response :)
you are welcome :)
Deletethat's right
Hye wafa... again a nice post there although I'm still young and fresh unmarried young man who will entering 20 years old next year.. Hopefully I'll find a right partner and will never let people condemn her, of course! The way you talk feels like a bunch with those experiences haha.. Good Job!
ReplyDeleteSuhaimi.. you are so young... :D yet has a great mind to empower others...
DeleteTo not allowing others to condemn anybody you know, you love or just about anyone is by holding tight to your principles... bold enough to highlight your stands.. :D
Good luck, my friend... :)
For me condemnation is a "hit and run" kinda thing. The outcome is bad most of the time.
ReplyDeleteYeah... its another way of looking at it :D.
DeleteAgree, do not condemn others. When we point at other people, 4 fingers are actually pointing back at ourselves.
ReplyDelete:D... that is so so so so true
Deleteb4 u condemn someone else for a wrongful act, check ur behavior 1st, probably ur behavior even worse than the act that person has done...
ReplyDeletemmm .. it is always used by politicians
what a wonderful world it would be if everyone sees the way you see :D
Deleteyup when u condemn others be aware that there still someone will condemn u back.
ReplyDeleteu'll get what u give. everythng starts from ourself
The thing is that many would think that they did it for the good reason which is to 'help' someone or sometimes to 'protect'.. :)
